Can only hope it wasn't deliberately killed for show.

When I have a bit of money saved up I'm going to swim with these critters. Lucky I only live 3 days drive from Coral Bay. :)

I REALLY want to swim with one. But I think I might die of fright before I even got close, even though I know they're very gentle.

I'm being hopeful when the article says they found it's "carcass."

If you ever get to swim with them post photos; I'm awed by their seemingly docile nature!

What's kinda sad is she was several months pregnant :c More info here. It takes an estimated thirty years for a whale shark to reach sexual maturity, too.

So, I hope whoever bought it has some kind of plan for preserving the body, because not too long from now that is going to turn into a giant pile of stink.
