Not so much at work, as at the Xmas dinner arranged by my employers. One of the chilli mussels I was enjoying turned out to be unexpected crunchy, and what I had expected to be a fragment of mussel shell turned out to a crab, either a Zaops ( oyster crab ) or the closely related Pea Crab, genus Pinnotheres. I caught myself chewing on one of those when I got Mongolian Buffet. I don't know what it came out of though. It's one of those deals where you pay the eight bucks, then try to stuff as much food as you can into a styrofoam container, short of having to duct tape it shut.

could have been from a variety of shellfish - Pinnotherids are pretty catholic in their tastes.
