What a marvelous little creature! Oh, gosh, my partner will love this; his favourite colour is blue and he is obsessed with penguins. Thanks so much for sharing.

I love fairy little penguins. Never heard them called "little blue penguins" before though.

They really are teeny tiny! and come in such huge groups!

Goddamn politcal correctedness. Gay community doesn't give a fuck what they're called

Little blue penguin is a more common name over here in New Zealand. Though if you wanted to be politically correct over here you could use the Māori name of kororā instead (and probably ignore the fact that our former capital's Māori name came from using the penguin as a food source).

Of course, most of the penguin publicity over here is for the rare yellow-eyed penguin or Hoiho. You won't see huge groups of them:

I'm only used to the little buggers in Tasmania. It's always fairy or little penguin there. c: so cute!

WELL YOUR FACE BOTHERS ME.

Kidding.

It was the clearest small picture I could find. The other image I was gonna post probably would stretch the page and that's no fun!

And hey, it offers a size comparison. :3

I thought penguins were loads bigger when I was little.. But then again, I also used to think raccoons were cat-sized and didn't understand a fourteen foot snake is a REALLY BIG snake.. Actually, my judgment of size isn't much better...

That's yourfoot? Oh man, I'm sorry! I didn't[ realize. Feet just scare me in general, it's not yours personally. I don't even like my own.
