No one really knows their behaviour (males attacking females is not new) and there is still plenty of evidence that they are surviving just fine. It may not be scientific, but I'll take the word of the natives that live and hunt up there, rather than scientists who do neither.
I'm not saying their lives are perfect - there's no denying the ice is shrinking - but I've yet to see compelling evidence that it's quite as bad as people say.

The actual situation is quite complex, because sea-ice loss is uneven: in some areas it's expanding (near Russia, I think), while in others, the rate of loss is absolutely staggering.

Don't worry, people. If it's as bad as the scientists are saying, about everything, Mum Nature is going to get very angry and do something about it. 'Cause the planet's a living creature in itself, and it does not like to be messed with.
