Half-blind, alcoholic, slow-fast ground shark

I saw an episode of Dirty Jobs on Discovery Channel...this thing is fuckin' awesome.

Sominus microcephalus, also known as: the Greenland shark, sleeper shark, gurry shark, grey shark, or Eqalussuaq (Inuit).

They live farther north than any other shark, in the depths of the freezing ocean.  They're incredibly sluggish and mostly blind.

I've heard about the specially processed, aka rotted I think, shark meat that is a delicasy. I love the way humans are so creative...

Yes, I just saw an episode of Bizarre Foods where he tried the meat... they let it rot, chop it up, and hang it under a shed roof (open air) for like three months, then eat it. Ugh.
