CNN.com just finished broadcasting a live feed of the Bigfoot conference. I managed to snap some screenshots. I'm sure video of the conference will be available shortly.
Wait..so its..SERIOUS? Well, the only reason why i say "it cant be!" it because scientists are finding new species of living organisms of all kinds everyday...well not everyday, but you get what i mean. So I'am more then obligated to be open-minded to the fact that this big furry creature can exist =]
Apparently. They said they're pretty much putting their lives and jobs on the line and if they're weren't serious they wouldn't even be there. I can't repeat exactly what was said but basically it seems like they found a creature that resembles a bigfoot.
They supposedly have already submitted DNA samples to some university, they listed the source and provided DNA evidence to all the reporters at the end of the conference.
IMHO they sounded *very* paranoid, like someone would steal this stuff out from under them. And if they *do* have the real deal, they're not wasting any time marketing it.
I can't decide if I want this to be a massive hoax in which the pranksters are universally reviled and humiliated -- or if I want there to be an actual Bigfoot.
Either one would make me happy, really.
I'd like to find a printed transcript of the press conference.. does such a thing exist?
I'd be happy for there to be bigfoots too, as a general thing, but what I dread is that if they actually did find one, every single conspiracy nut and tin-foil hatter in the world will triumphantly announce, "See? They lied about the bigfoots! So that's proof that they're ALSO lying about the aliens who live in my sock drawer and try to save me from the chemtrails!"
