Someone posted this in thrifthorror and its pretty much the thing of nightmares. What creature does this skull belong to? I figure if anyone knows, its probably someone in here.

It looks like a glued together job, not a real animal, alas. The teeth are very mammalian and mammal jaws don't articulate like that. However, I will ask my ichthyologist friends today, and see if they can come up with a better answer, because if it *is* a real animal, it is almost certainly a fish.

Seconded - almost any fucked-up skull should be assumed as a fish until shown otherwise.

The post-cranial vertebrae also look very "fishy" (I just had to).

i thought the same thing, but then i found this image of the jaw and such, and a parrotfish doesn't really have teeth like those...so i don't know.
