I feel like I should note here that someone sucking as a person doesn't make them any less talented.

Most artists are crazy fuckers with drinking problems and delusions of grandeur. She's in good company.

Ah, that sucks. I think I would cheerfully kill someone for a full scholarship to RISD. :(

Oh, no. Painting reflective surfaces is one of those exercises that they make you do in art school. It's one of those "if you can't do this, you don't count" things -and generally when people are just starting out, they pull out all the stops to show that they have technical skill. Balloons, mirror balls, all that stuff gets used a lot for 101 courses.
