...help...?

AVG keeps throwing up 'virus blocked' messages whenever I log onto LJ. Something to do with a Windows Live Messenger / Lj messenger clash, methinks.

If only I wasn't such a bloody Luddite... I don't even use either messenger.

Anyone out there have the same problem?

grr

hmm...I have AVG, but I haven't received any sort of notification like that ever. try checking the things it's blocking? I don't use either messenger either. I really don't know what the problem could be... :-\

Thanks D,

I'm convinced I have an aura about me that glitches all electronic media in a two-metre radius :(

Ho-hum...

oh you poor thing! check the AVG website, perhaps? I'm sure they have a support number you could call or something...good luck! :-\

The support number is not available to free version users. I did have a trawl through the support forums but had no luck.

Just have to keep digging, I guess.

It looks like Windows Live Messenger to me:

File:
www.wlmessenger.net/api/3.50.46010/retail/Microsoft.Live.Messenger.Services.Loader.js

Infection:
Exploit Aurora 0-day exploit (type 771)

It's probably that the latest AVG update has taken a dislike to it.
