Portland Vacation

Okay, so to kill two birds with one stone hubby and I are going to Portland to visit his family and we're going to vacation. So for the portlanders on my list what should we do? I lived there for a bit but we didn't go anywhere or see the sites, so I'm a total tourist. What do you recommend? We're thinking about doing the Mt. Hood dinner train with

       Uhm. You drive north, up I-5. Until you get to Seattle. And then you continue north. Until you get to Mount Vernon/Burlington. And then you drive West (I think, maybe it is East) down Highway 20. Until you get to Anacortes. And then? You and R. come visit me.

Well, I think that might be doable, if R doesn't mind. Of course, that sounds like a long ways so maybe you should like meet us halfway or something. :P

       Well, that would depend on when you were doing this. But that might be workable, depending. School is getting hectic, but if it's an off-weekend, it could happen.
