Woe, he indeed cut his flowing locks. However, for his series 3 appearance he has grown the beginnings of a beard so that's a plus!

In lots of ways I see Merlin as completely divorced from the Arthurian legends, the little nods to it are always nice but it's like a different beast. And while Elyan might not be a knight he is definitely one of the lads - and neither Lancelot nor Gwaine are knights yet either and who knows how Percival turns up!

A few pics of Santiago are always nice :)
