Joss100 Challenge: Ficlet # 23 - Grave

Feb 08, 2006 15:22

After a bit of a delay, here is number 24 of 100 - YAY!

I apologize for the writing in bits and spurts, but Firefly-TVS has been keeping me busy, along with some other not-so-fun real-life events. PLUS, this prompt was kinda kicking my ass. *grins*

As always, the rest of these can be found here: Big Damn Prompt Table #2 They run in order ( Read more... )

I love River.

And I love Mal.

And I love Jayne.

The weird thing is, I can make an argument for River/Jayne and River/Mal, which I find bizarre. My mind is screwy, I think. *grins*

Wow -- thank you for the wonderful compliment! I must admit, I enjoy the Firefly 'verse quite a bit, so writing in it is fun.

And you SHOULD post your stuff -- we're generally a nice bunch, don't bite or anything. I offer my betaing, if you're looking for someone. I beta for a couple of people and enjoy doing that too.

Yeah, this prompt was a doozy. But imagine how hard the Buffy people will be working to fit in "Serenity." :P

This was great - a nice reality check with seeing other crew members and all. I feel like I've been waiting FOREVER for this, but I understand you have a life! I do! :P I think the most beautiful thing about this was that Zoe's grief brought out Jayne's never-present nice side. ;) The most exciting thing for me was Mal pushing out the chair for River. It makes me go OMG WHY DOES MAL NEVER PUSH OUT CHAIRS FOR ME.

Poor Zoe.

LOL -- that's very true about the Buffy / Serenity people. This prompt was -- GAH!! I've been playing with ideas ofr a couple of weeks now -- and promptly disgarding them. I must admit, I'm pleased with the way this turned out though.

And as for the Mal / chair line -- I am so totally with you on that. He needs to come to my house and do that for me....*grins*

I promise I'll try to post more regularly -- I'll make an honest attempt not to wait a month between stories, because that really is too long. As soon as things settle down around here, it should be easier to live up to that.

Hope you'll hang in there for the rest of them!
