Soooo, that was something. I can't sign into chat and discuss with my usual suspects, but I have to get this out there. ( BSG spoilers for tonight's ep )

I didn't love it. I didn't hate it either. I'm trying to process. I'm just very uncertain what we are suppose to take away from that. It was the Lee and Kara OMG THEY ARE SO IN LOVE ep. Which I'm actually OK with in theory. It's that I *hate* the show feels they have to result to violence to solve personal problems and, I'm sorry, I just have zero sympathy for Kara here. I'm not saying Lee is Mr Innocent. I have issues with him marrying Dee on the rebound and hurting her, but we start the ep with Kara treating Anders like shit and then we have her try to make Lee the bad guy when HE WAS READY TO COMMIT and she got scared and ran away live an eleven year old. And now what? Are Dee and Anders off filing for divorce? Are Lee and Kara going to be together?

Yes. I totally get what you are saying, but for me, this is one of many steps to an endgame which will include Kara and Lee having babies together on Earth and it makes me HAPPY.

I know there are several things that need to either make more sense or be smoothed over, but I am so very excited right now.

Even if they get married these two should not have babies, EVER.

I just have huge, huge issues with the violence. Beat each others brains in to make everything OK? No, it doesn't work for me and that is a blanket statement for any couple on any show.

Hee! I appreciate that statement, but someone has to procreate besides Tyrol and Cally. ;-)

Also, I do understand re: the violence, but as dualbunny says, "After Spike and Buffy, if you don't try to physically kill each other how am I supposed to know that you really care?". ;-)

I know I probably shouldn't joke because you take this show much more seriously than I do, but I found this episode to be exciting and a step (a tiny, baby step) in a direction I am interested in.

Ellen! Thinking about how cracked I'd have said people were if they told me I'd miss her so much...dude. And I can't believe how much that just took the weight off for some of what I worried about for storyline resolutions.

Obviously I want K/L to get a happily ever after, but man, even if they just stayed friends after this, I would be totally happy. Probably only because I know there would be fic for the happy ending, but still. ;D

I closed my eyes and scrolled down because unfortunately, amidst all the other TV I watch, I got like four episodes behind on BSG and so alas, am going to have to wait until either SciFi shows a marathon at the end of the season, or until they come out on DVD. But it is encouraging to see that you liked this latest episode, and I'm anxious to catch up. At some point.
