The shower scene is so painful :( I want to huggle the poor guy!

Nimueh had a habit of purring Merlin’s name - caressing the syllables as though they were a lover or a pet.
I can picture Nimueh perfectly in this role.

It had been her who, on his first day working for Avalon Escorts, had taken both his hands in hers and told him that when the day came that he wanted to jump, to call her first.
This broke my heart :(

I love the final part of this chapter. The friendship between Gwen and Merlin is something they both treasure, and I love how they've found a refuge with each other in this harsh world.

I found a small typo; With the ease of someone long-familiar with her environment, the Gwen set about making two cups of tea whilst Merlin made toast and fruit salad. has a "the" too much in it.
