My old boxer is about 11.5 and has been really not having a good past couple of days. I don't think the constant rain we've been having is not doing her old bones any good. She just lays around and moans and cries and sleeps.

My boxer died 24 years ago (d*mn I'm old), and I'll never stop missing her. No other dog I've had holds a candle to her.

You'll make the best decision for you and your family, no matter how difficult it is. May the journey be smooth for all of you.

It's funny we got her as a rescue when she was too, I've got all her AKC paperwork, but looking at her you'd swear she was a bull mastiff. Even personality-wise she's more mastiff than boxer. Our other boxer, Peanut is without a doubt 100% boxer, lovable little nut that she is.

Yeah, I think the break in the weather has helped a lot, she's spent a lot of time out on the deck in the sun. I edited the original post with a pic :)

I'm so sorry hon. Our animals are so much a part of our family aren't they...we love them and they give us so much love back. Lots of hugs to you and I'll be thinking of you and the very difficult decision you're goiung to have to take. Hugs hugs hugs hon.
