Title: Tethered

Characters: Jack/Giselle, but if you scratch the surface, it's Jack/Elizabeth to the core.
Disclaimer: Property of Disney and I'm not making a drop of money off it.
Synopsis: Jack comes to Tortuga for a bit of fun, but leaves with more on his conscience than he bargained for. Set in between CotBP and DMC.

( The wind blows pirates and thieves into Tortuga, not gentlemen or laborers, and every jaded whore knows what that means. )

This is wonderful, perfect Jack and a really great Gisele.

She peers at him curiously. "What's that look for?"

Irritation returns to his face. "What look?"

"Well, it's gone now, but you seemed a bit funny there for a moment."

A bit funny, indeed. I laughed out loud at the conversation, but by the end... not so much. Poor Jack.

Thank you! There's so many different directions to go with Gisele's character since she gets such a little screen time. Jack is difficult for the exact same reason. Glad you enjoyed it! :)

That's as far as I've read just now, but based on that one line, you got it! Lovely Giselle (always wondered where she might have learned such a vocabulary!) there's such a sweetness in her heart...and Jack would make you look twice even if you didn't want to.
Jack's black gaze, in any other character such a bad or evil thing, but with him, well, very interesting, innit? Now, back to find more gems!

Yes, it seems that many things concerning Jack wouldn't be nearly as appealing in another person---that's what so much fun about his character! :)

Great story. I love your opening paragraph and the style throughout, nice filling in of a bit of Jack's backstory and just a delightful Giselle, so shrewd and still has a heart buried under there.

Thank you! Gisele and Scarlett are so much fun; I really wish we had seen more of them in the movies.
