I honestly considered not reading this (it was the "mentions of self harm" warning, and my fear that this fic would be utter whumpage), but I am so glad that I did. What I really liked was the theme of Jimmy structuring himself, moulding his body into what he wanted to be, and then that being taken a step further as a vessel... I have so many thinky thoughts about this, and no idea what to do with them.

(By the way, if there's a way to rephrase that warning that you think may work better, let me know!) wrt the theme you picked out - yes yes yes the idea of a vessel's identity, however constructed, is something that is always (imo) worth attention.
