[original poetry] - "Elide"

I really should be working. Of course, I figure with all the hours I put in, this company owes me. Big time.

In any case, I found another poem, also from '05, written on my lunch break for my friend Dana. Never finished this one either, although perhaps a little poetry still remaining in motion isn't a bad thing.....

Good girl! Tell your employers of some of the recent studies regarding naps and breaks increasing productivity.

It would appear your poem was a direct reflection of your need to escape the 'fire and brimstone'. You're correct, you deserve at LEAST a modicom of escape.

It's so great to see you back...albeit abbreviated and brief. We can only hope for more of your prose and presence.

Lingering and waiting............Kerry

Thanks for reading and commenting!

I keep trying to tell my employers that we need nap time, but somehow they aren't responding. Damn.

I definitely was in a very different fire and brimstone back in 2005, and this was, ehem, inspired by a bit of personal experience. Have to wonder why I never finished it. I'm guessing my lunch break was finished or somesuch.

I'm hoping to post more soon - maybe more poetry and original work as well as POTC fic. We'll see. Time and tide and all that.

Resenting these slips of freedom beneath

Oh, I worship that sentence, and all the ones before it. And studio evening - not sure why, but so evocative.

Wonderful stuff, darling, thank you for finding these and posting. And yay! for stealing back time from the demons *g*

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! It's always such a thrill to get good feedback on original work, as it's especially close to the heart.
