Could you guys help me out with something? I'm just curious to see what everyone uses and if it's a waste of time to try to make things 800x600 compatible.
I only end up using IE if I am at work, which is how I found out that apparently my layout isn't compatible with IE. It looks fantastic in Firefox though.
Yep, I have to test every layout in both FF and IE because IE likes to make up their own rules for CSS instead of following the recommended CSS. It's a real pain in the ass to make things work for both.
If you tell the person who did your layout to give your menu an absolute position and a high z-index number then she can adjust the margins and it'll fix your layout so that it works in both browsers.
My laptop is 1280x800 but I voted 1280x768 because that's close enough. All the computers I use at work are 1024x768 except for two but that' sonly because their main users are old and need everything huge.
