Maze/ Words/+1

Every night Lianne would dream of a maze, a tangled maze full of dead ends and blockages.

She hated the maze; it scared her because she couldn’t talk her way out of it.

Every day that she did official duties the nightmare followed her…

When she went to the Copper Isles the maze vanished, she never had that nightmare ever again.

The package was oblong, long and not all that wide.

Jon had already approached it before Lianne burst through the door, a late warning on her lips as the package exploded.

Jon wiped the jam from his eyes and let out a long suffering sigh.

“Lianne? Get Vania for me please.”

He really was getting far too old for this; he had been banished for several hundred years, had spent a hundred more years plotting and now was being run ragged by the Copper isle’s problems.

He wondered if it was worth it…. He wondered if he was just too old for this…

And then he met Princess Lianne of Tortall.

In some things you can never get too old.
