Thanks so much! I really enjoyed STID, but it was so dark, I couldn't believe they were just going to troop off into the galaxy with no consequence to everything that happened, and thus this verse was born. I'm glad you enjoyed and took the time to comment!

Poor Kirk. I can imagine everything that happened in STID was so hard on him, and then if he had to go back and interrogate Khan again? It's so great to see Bones here for him, comforting him in his moments of fear.

Yeah, I know ST has always been pretty casual about lasting psychological impacts of traumatic events (read: Kodos and TOS!Kirk's stay on Tarsus IV) but I thought it would be really fun to explore the fallout...especially with how close Kirk and Bones have always been, particularly in the reboot. Thanks for reading it; I'm so glad you enjoyed!
