Oh my goodness - what a great, great update! Actually, one of my favorites in this whole series, so far. All of Sam's emotions - poor Sammy! - and you just did such a beautiful job of capturing all of that. Dean's reaction, both during and after the sex, was so very Dean, and just as heart-wrenching. I get a little heart tug smile whenever I see a new update to this series! And this one did not disappoint. Reading it left me breathless with an ache for both the boys, that rawness of emotion and the patented angst. It just amazes me the bond between them, the lengths they will go to for each other - and the love, even when they one or both are so wrapped up in the other they truly aren't thinking straight. Frustrated and angry love taken out through sex, I can so see Dean shutting down after that, even if he did enjoy it. And Sam, feeling guilt - over Dean's deal, over tying Dean up, over taking what he needed.

I don't think I've ever truly recovered from AHBL, to be honest! It was interesting to capture it from a different angle; I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Interesting way of exploring what happened in canon and what might have happened after - I can feel Sam's desperation here, both of them so terrified of being without the other. And the ending made my heart just ache for them. Oh, boys....
