Oh wow, that message never got cleared up, did it? I kinda want to go back and figure all that shit out that never got addressed between them, but this was a very interesting way of solving the puzzle. Makes me think of the fact that since they've just jumped another year, in SPN proper canon we've just about arrived at 'The End'. Hmmmm, wonder if anyone noticed that.

Isn't that crazy? Four seasons ago and they never cleared it up! In canon, too, that will've been 6 years ago, not just 4, like you'd mentioned. But they brought out the box of phones and I took my opportunity because I've wanted to write voicemail fix-it fic for ages!

I guess we'll see where the story takes us; but I hope it doesn't take us to The End!!

This is exactly what the episode needed. Sometimes I wish we could be consulted for plot points or something lol

I know what you mean! Sometimes I feel like the fandom is better in tune with the storyline than the showrunners are, lol! But really, I have to trust they know what they're doing. :)
