I accidentally wrote half of this to fit the theme of colour and then realised the round had ended already, sigh, you guys write so fast. This round's optional theme for Team One if you want it is Danger(!).

Life has become dangerous in recent months for Miyata, his days now full of terror as his enemy lurks in the shadows hunting him ready to strike at any unexpected moment. By conditioned habit now Miyata jerks awake in the middle of the night fearful of every slight sound or creaking floorboard, double and triple checks the lock to his door before retreating back under the blankets and dreams of being rescued by a white knight.
His white knight is unfortunately a little slow so Miyata hurries him along.
Tamamori is easily distracted by some message on his phone as Miyata leads them both out of the dressing and then with the gentle press of fingers to the other’s side he directs Tamamori to turn this way or that, easily pulls him out of the way of walking into strangers once they make it onto the street.
The train pass is in the side pocket of Tamamori's bag like always and Miyata digs it out easily enough before leading them through the turnstiles and onto the right platform just as Tamamori finally looks up to register where he is.
It takes him another minute to realise that he’s on the line heading to Miyata’s house but he quickly deduces the rest from there.
“Is this about Mint-kun again?”
Miyata physically flinches at the sound of the demon’s name and stutters out an unconvincing not at all.
“Miyacchi, it’s just a puppy.” Tamamori replies barely holding back a snort of laughter at Miyata’s shaken state.
“No really,” Miyata tries to convince, “there’s a new anime I thought you might like to watch together.” and then for the duration of the train ride he racks the otaku catalogue of his mind searching for such an anime so that the lie can be truth.
"Traitor." Miyata grumbles under his breath as he watches from his spot on the bed - him and his socks safely out of reach - as Mint-kun and Tamamori play happily and peacefully together on the floor. To add further betrayal Tamamori even suggests bringing Chip and Eve out one day to meet Mint-kun. Miyata’s heart would rise normally at the thought of dates with Tamamori but instead he broods glumly that it has to be under such terrifying circumstances.
He informs Tamamori sarcastically that he’d rather try surfing instead but Tamamori is too focused teaching Mint-kun how to roll over to notice. Eventually Miyata’s sister comes home and Mint-kun scrambles away eagerly at the first call of her voice to greet her by the door.
Bored and unoccupied now Tamamori is surprisingly quick as he barrels towards Miyata on the bed and then there’s a flurry of attacks leaving Miyata pinned and defenceless to an unfortunate ratio of one kiss to every six punches. In the middle of the night he jerks awake again to Tamamori shaking him with accusations he fell alseep first and his socks end up stolen anyway when Tamamori complains his toes are cold.
Miyata wonders if perhaps he was safer before.
