"What is it?" Ben asked from behind me.
I flipped through the pictures. "Old pictures," I said, taking a pile out of the box and starting to look closer at them. "It's from when we were like three."
"Let me see," he sat down next to me.
"Aw look," I said, pointing to a picture where he kissed my cheek. I was dressed in a white dress and he in black PJ's. We were five. "Our wedding!"
He laughed. "That is cute." He took my hand in his. "I knew back then that we would end up together," he said.
#40 Break down
I had to force my leg to move. To walk closer to the group outside Dan's hospital room.
"... And we did everything we could, but his heart was too weak. We couldn't save him."
"What?" my heart stopped for a moment.
"I'm very sorry for your loss."
Everything was spinning, I couldn't breath. Falling to my knees I couldn't even feel the pain from my knees hitting the stone floor.
"No, no!"
I realized the screaming words were coming from me but I couldn't stop myself. The pain. My world were falling apart and I couldn't do anything about it.

"When I was three, that day in day care, and the guy in superman costume pushed you off the swings, I knew I would marry you. You punched him in the face, you never needed me to save you. You have never needed me to save or protect you. But I want to save you, save you from everything that is wrong with the world. Protect you from pain and heart ache. I love you Katie. Will you marry me?"
I started at the ring for a moment before looking up at him, smiling through my tears. "Yes," I whispered.
