#20 - Dawn
"Katie, wake up!"
I sat up as soon as I heard my name. I wasn't sure I had actually been sleeping, but as I saw that Ben was up, I realized I must have gotten a few minutes of sleep.
"We have to get going, the sun is coming up."
Always moving, from dawn and all day long. I sighed and sat up, starting to push the sleeping bag into it's bag again. "Maybe we'll get there today," I said, seriously doubting my own words.
"Yeah, maybe," Ben nodded but I could see the doubt in his eyes as well.
#25 - The last time you loved
It's difficult for me to specify love these days. I love Ben, always have, always will. I would sacrifice myself without a moments hesitation for him. But is it romantic love? I'm not sure. We've done stuff before. He was the first boy I kissed, the guy I lost my virginity to, but we were never really a couple. There used to be three of us, our best friend Dan was always there, until he wasn't. Maybe I'm just afraid, like Dan always said. But back to the question; the last time I loved? Right now, with this very breath.
