The auction is now live! Browse through this thread and see if any of the offered art catches your attention! Happy bidding!
The auction will run from the first until the fifteenth of October at midnight GMT! Bidding is in American dollars!
Before I explain the auction, I will quickly run through the rules again so that everyone knows what is what.
Both the authors and the artists, have 120 days after the auction ends to complete their story/piece of art, with the possibility of an extension if your winner agrees to it. Dialogue is important, especially when it concerns a ‘winner’s choice’. Stay in touch with each other. As soon as the auction ends, I will PM everyone to let you know who won you or what you won. After that, it’s up to you to stay in contact with each other. In case of problems, don’t hesitate to contact me and then we can sort something out. You can find my e-mailaddress at the bottom of the post and I will also add it in when I sent you the PM.
Winners have first dibs on the story/piece of art, meaning that the winner gets to read/see the story/piece of art before anyone else does. As soon as the winner has read it, the writer/artist can post what he wrote/made wherever he wants. If you agree to the story going exclusively to your winner, then that’s fine too. You can arrange between yourselves if you want to do that or not. If you want to have your story beta'd, then you can of course send it to your beta first.
When the auction ends, the winner will donate their money straight to the
fundraiser page. Sadly, you cannot use PayPal to donate. They only allow Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
When you donate to the fundraiser page, make sure to add your LiveJournal name, along with your real name or just your LiveJournal name so I know who has donated and who hasn’t. If you have won more than one story/piece of art, then donate everything in one time.
As soon as you have donated, the author/artists can send you his/her story/piece of art (if it’s already finished by then of course).
Onto how the actual auction will work.
The sign up threads will be used again. If you wish to bid on a story/piece of art, then add a reply to the comment with your bid. If someone has already made a bid and you want to make a higher one, add a reply to the previous bid, etc.
For the writers and artist, I have a code (courtesy of my lovely friend,
Kikiriki23 ) which you can use on your LiveJournals to promote your story/piece of art and get your friends to bid on you. For the code, go
here .
Remember, this is for a good cause!
Also, in November, we will be sending a link of the fundraiser to Jared and Jensen and we will mention this project. However, due to the nature of most stories and artwork, we will not elaborate on the details of this little auction. On the fundraiser page, you can add a comment to your bid but please do not mention anything about J2 or Wincest. You can mention you won a story or piece of art or use it as a shout-out to Jared and Jensen. That’s up to you!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask me, either in a PM to my personal account (
Yellowwolf5 ) or in an e-mail (Kells_90@hotmail.com).
