Buffy tapped her fingers along the back of the hairbrush to the tune of Adele’s Daydreamer, singing the lyrics softly. A particularly high note distracted her, making her tug too hard. Maybe it’d been a bad idea to let her hair grow out again.
“Give it here,” Angel cut in, taking the hair brush and sitting behind her on the bed. “You remind me of Rapunzel, singing by her window,” he mentioned after a moment, “A sure magnet for every man around.”
“You’d ride to rescue me?”
He chuckled. “I’d take the bus. I never could handle a horse properly.”
