Trust Jim to find the unconventional way to save himself - not cowering in some dark corner of his mind but laying out in the sun in the middle of a cornfield, unafraid, gazing at the sky. And he can do that because he knows, knows beyond question, that Spock will come for him. Even to a place where he never thought he'd see him.
