Irony?

I think it's so funny that the last two times I've posted to work out my current writer's block/ angst, I've received a query rejection the next day.  It's a sign!

Still buried in essays over here, but I discovered today that there is an actual end to the pile, and I can see it.  While I may not finish my goal of getting 28 more essays out by ( Read more... )

rejection, moody writers, a diversion

I just hope you're reading _Watchmen_ the way it's meant to be read, as follows:

One issue at a time, spaced a month apart, so that by the time the month rolls around you're going crazy to find out what happens next and you run to the comic store only to find that the issue has been delayed, DELAYED, AAAAAAA!, so you run back home and re-read all the previous issues over and over again because you know, JUST KNOW, that if you read it enough times you'll be able to figure the whole darned thing out and then it will stop haunting you in your sleep and while you're awake.

You know, like that.

The trade paperback just doesn't carry the same impact, alas. Still good, but not quite the same...

Nope! I'm all about the instant gratification! Which is why I watched ALL of my Heroes Season 3 DVR episodes back to back this weekend, starting with the season finale from Season 2. Oops, I guess that cut into my writing time, too.... :)

All of Season 3 Heroes back-to-back. Wow. I liked the show, but this season has been less than stellar in my mind...

Less TV, more Writing!

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm thrilled about the turn the show has taken, but I do like it better than last year. At least the stupid twins plotline is done. I do like the gray areas this season-- blurring the lines between hero and villain is interesting.

Now I must see what this Watchman is. Nothing like a Walkman, is it? Actually, my husband DID have a Watchman. They were popular for about twenty seconds in the 80s. Off to Amazon to check it out!
