I loved this, and in a personal way also, because I am a Black Friday shopper, and we usually camp out at Best Buy on Wed around 3, with lounge chairs, books and whatnot. I do it with the kids and we have a blast. (ETA: And we usually go to Target and Game Stop after - tradition LOL.)

If I ever have the opportunity to camp out for a Black Friday sale, I might try it once. Just to say I experienced it. Same goes for being in Times Square for New Years - one day it'll happen.

funny you should mention Target. The other part of the story was that Steve got out of the truck and went to Target.

If you decide to do it, lemme know and I will give you tips on surviving the night LOL. And I enjoyed many a New Years Eve in TS, as a kid with my Dad and with friends when I was older. You freeze your ass off, but there is nothing like it.
