As it is now less than 8 weeks until Midimeet 2010, I thought I’d better garner interest for the Friday night dinner at the Blue Orchid, the Thai restaurant next to the Ramada Hotel.

Ooh, I haven't signed up yet, because I'm still not entirely sure what I'm doing over the summer (I want to work plans around the weekend as much as possible, but, just in case I end up with a job or something where I simply cannot get away, I'm hedging my bets for the moment) - but, considering how wonderful the food was, can it be assumed I'm coming for the purposes of the booking? I don't want to miss out!

Does the restaurant food have lots of coconut in (I'm allergic) - otherwise I'm game!

Apparently they do Indian food as well, hun, but I can check when I do the booking if you like. I'm almost positive that not all of their food comes with coconut milk/coconut in it. I certainly don't want you nobbled, hun! *hugs*

Not all Thai has coconut if you avoid the curries. My friend is also allergic and she eats Thai all the time.

Oh, but where's the tapas wine bar??? That was the best part of the menu (even if I had no intention of ordering from it...).
