Crack and Fail-Fluff? Slight-Angst?
Drabble (almost 400 words)
Yunho’s hopelessness amuses Changmin (and hopefully, all of you as well).
“Hyung, what are you doing?”
Yunho, who obviously didn’t sense Changmin come up behind him, makes a high pitched noise not unlike a squeal.
“Uh .. I-I’m just .. surfing the web.” Yunho mumbles while closing his browser quickly.
“Oh, I see.” Changmin clearly amused and a bit offended his hyung didn’t notice his presence when he got back to their shared apartment. “Is that why you’ve been opening and closing Firefox again and again for the last 10 minutes?”
This time Yunho does squeal. “Uh! I-I .. uhmmm - how long have you been standing there?!”
Long enough to see you were trying to register at a Jaejoong fan forum. Instead of saying this though, Changmin just shrugs and decides he’ll give his clearly stressed hyung a break tonight. Not only because he’s such a good dongsaeng but also because there are more important matters to attend to.
“I’m hungry,” he deadpans.
Nonetheless, Yunho looks very relieved at the change of subject.
“Okay, I’ll call the Korean restaurant down the street for take-out then?”
Watching his dongsaeng’s face for any signs of disapproval, he continues when he sees a smile.
“You want anything special? Or just the usual jjajangmyun dishes?”
Changmin, still smiling his mismatched-eyes-smile, contemplates this for only a moment and responds, “Actually, I feel like changing it up tonight - can I get kimchi jigae?”
The younger man watches his hyung nod stiffly, eyes glazed while reaching for the phone and almost feels bad about the teasing. He leaves the room with a ‘Thanks hyung! You rock!’ and a double thumbs-up after Yunho finished ordering.
Alone at his desk again, Yunho sighs and turns back to his computer screen. With a new found resolve, he launches another window and types in the URL he’s been entering over and over again for almost an hour now. He fills in the form with ease having memorized most of the questions already from his previous failed attempts. But this time, Jung Yunho does not back down. This time, Jung Yunho takes a deep breath and clicks on the Finish Registration button.
He lets out the breath and allows his lips quirk into a small smile when he reads the confirmation message.
