Survivor Island: Second Elimination and Third Challenge
The write_away community has spoken, and the Huckleberry Blue Bandits won the second challenge. Unfortunately, that means that two players from the Twelfth Yellow Knights and Gatsby Green Team must be eliminated.
eunuch_dreams and dark_math_girl, your teams have voted, and you must leave the island.
Survivors, you will now face your third challenge. Like last week, this will also rely on teamwork. However, you will be working independently. Each team will create a character by designing different facets of that character. For example, one player might write a scene about how the character fears spiders, while another writes about his love for coffee. You have until midnight (GMT) Friday morning to submit your scenes or stories, which may be no longer than 500 words, but no less than 200.
I will give each team their characters name, age and gender, but it is up to you survivors to define them and mesh your scenes together. Use what other players create in your scenes. write_away will vote on the fullest character.
Blue Bandits, your character is a fourteen-year-old boy named Thomas.
Green Team, your character is a thirty-year-old man named Jason.
Yellow Knights, your character is a twenty-two-year-old woman named Viola.
Similarities to their namesakes will not win your teams brownie points. =)
In review: Using the name I have given your team, create a character through a series of scenes or short stories. You might talk about the character's fears, aspirations, childhood, dreams, hobbies…anything that you think will make the character round and complete. Subsequent stories will build on what previous survivors have written.
It is very likely these characters will appear again.
