At first it was interesting and then it became redundant and the voice he uses to tell the story became tired, and I had to force myself to finish. It wasn't clever enough to make it worthwhile, either.

My favourite author of all time is Haruki Murakami. His skill with prose is something almost legendary.

I suggest checking out Norwegion Wood first, and then South of the Border, West of the Sun.

Like seriously.

*gasp!* Have you read any of his short stories in The Elephant Vanishes?

I have read everything that he has ever done. He is my role model.

My favourite story is about the little green monster. You know what I'm talking about.

Miss Misery by Andy Greenwald.
Anything by Nicholas Sparks - great modern romance.
Leah Stewart.
Laura Lippman.
Hmm, that's all I have for now.

One that I recommend to everyone is Henry David Thoreau's Walden. For poetry, I like Stephen Dobyns and Theodore Roethke. A friend of mine would recommend Life of Pi and the Kite Runner.

Walden is probably already there...Walden 2 by BF Skinner might not be though...
