Variously, she can be seen essentially kickboxing with it, and practicing sword hits in an elegant style with the broad side of her sword. The ( Read more... )

[Trying to get a better view of the town (and walk off a hangover) Michael aka Booster Gold is out exploring makeout point, off in the distance he hears the sounds of things getting the snot beat out of them and will come running to check it out]

[Rushing toward an armed, combat-trained, ruthless woman is a bad idea. You're going to find that she stops paying attention to her sparring target and turns to face you, hair whirling, eyes focused immediately on the approaching form.]

[Yes, but he's used to super villainesses so he'll keep running, even out of uniform to try and see what's going on]

(Please, while he has the best of intentions, feel free for Oliver to try and kill him, he's used to it, especially he's used to dodging women who want to kill him)

.....To get back. To get Al back and keep my promise. That's why I fight. That's why I've fought ever since, when I first was certified at twelve.

I fight to return to my brothers, though it means my own death. I fight to save as many people here as I can, because.... the strong should protect the weak. Which is why you should waste your time on those not prepared to fight. Not everyone is called to be a warrior, nor is everyone skilled at arms like yourself. We all have our places in life.

The weak better stay out of my way. [She grunts.] They want to be cannon fodder, some of them. I'm disgusted. We have to get that romantic idea of heroic acts out of their head.

Combat is only combat. I leave romanticizing it to poets.

If you would like I can explain this to them.

Right. War is war. It isn't glamorous or glorious in any way for anyone but the cruelest of victors.

Lying gets us nowhere.

Why do you fight?

I fight to return to what is rightfully mine--my life. Isn't that the only reason for any of us to care where we are?
