I um, still don't have a plot...but I'm excited about the story again! I'm 100 percent sure that I'm not winning nano but, I'm still going to have fun with it!

as for your question, sometimes I do, but usually I don't. Sometimes I just search male hairstyles/female hairstyles to get an idea of what I want my character's hair to look like and be able to describe it and then I'll find a model who just fits my character perfectly.

My problem though with that is I can spend WEEKS on google searches looking for the perfect face for the character I have in mind and then I lose all track of the story. Or after writing the character and getting their personality down more, they tell me they don't look like that at all and change their appearance as they see fit. *shakes head*

Though, right now, one of my characters kind of has the nose of Owen Wilson. Kind of like that, but still different. He's a guard, so I thought it fit and he hasn't yelled at me about it yet.

That scene sounds like fun! I can just imagine the other character doing lots of stupid things before that proclamation and lots of even stupider things after. (that's what my characters would have done anyway.)
