The first year I was dragged in to it by a friend and she got to 3000 words and stopped after a week, I got to the end and was so proud so I returned last year and smashed my previous record even though I was working full time, but its lonely just being me and only seeing that

*cough* I always have problems having a proper plot, so when I wrote my Bigbang story recently a friend of mine helped me plot and essentially most of the general plot ideas were hers. For me it was a success, because I could work well with her ideas and turned out to be a good story in the end. I don't think it's a problem to take someone else's planning and still make it your story (as long as you give her some sort of credit).

hey, I did chicklit last year and I'm doing it this year as well because I just can't help adding funny to even my most serious stories so I just accepted the funny and moved on with my writing. I've never written anyone else's plot -- don't know if I could actually without losing my mind -- so I'm curious as to how you make out with it.
