Though he wouldn't admit it, Bruce was always slightly smug that he'd mastered the art of a silent and unseen exit without the use of powers while Clark was rendered helpless in a situation like this.

That is quintessentially the Batman-Superman relationship in a nutshell. I love that line. That and the different Betty fears you go through in the beginning. It further more fleshes out the characters, Betty feeling them, Bruce noticing them, setting the tone for the rest of the chapter and giving this new fear a point of comparison.

I have a lot more to say, but for now accept my "Well Done, Excellent!". Can't wait for the next part.

Batman > Superman. That is all, hehe. I'm so biased against poor Clark, and I take it out on him through Bruce.

"Then find a way over to Lois Lane. Keep her safe."

The look she gave him spoke volumes

*laughs* I bet it did! =)

The suspense... Great chapter!

Even if he can't superspeed away from Lois quickly enough to make a seamless reappearance as Superman, wouldn't Clark be capable of using heat vision on any of the bullets actually aimed at people... or, even better, as a classic comic trope, simply melting the firing pins of all the guns before they're even able to be fired?

This is all true, I must admit. But I have to say, I enjoy emasculating Clark as much as possible, *snrk*.

Thank you for reading!

I hope Bruce doesn't get exposed. Why can't Clark superspeed out of there and change?
Interesting chapter, I can't wait to see where you're going to take this :D

Hehe, like I said above... Supes and I have a very interesting relationship, lol. Even in other fics, I tend to try and downplay his power as much as possible. I hate using him as a Deus Ex Machina most times >.>

More soon!
