I selected a card for inspiration for you, and got the Loon. This is the bird of haunting songs and mad laughter, of dreams and wishes made real, ghosts and the paranormal, and the deep, murky waters of the subconscious. You are encouraged to plunge into the depths, go the distance, keeping those you love close to you and staying away from lead.If you do, you may find your sight (figuratively) restored.
I drew Starling - be present in the now, today, don't wait...the shaping of things, pattens, language, directness, honesty, speaker/show your voice...so, um, basically nothing you don't already know! (Haven't I pulled this card for you before? Apparently, nothing has changed!)
For you, I've drawn Bewick's Swan. This is the bird of the studious monk. This card speaks of dignity, wisdom, the support of friends, funerals, sensitivity and empathy in somber times, elegant style and poetry.
I would recommend, with your friends, a funeral for the relationship/connection, to put it truly in the past for you.
I'd love a card, please. What the heck is going on with my finances - overtime pay, back bills, moving between apartments, and the job offer on the table? I'm starting to lose the ability to cope.
You have also gotten two cards (sometimes they just can't get it done in one!)
First, you get a rather nasty card, the Bee-Eater. These birds, while pleasant and sociable with a delightful call, have a darse side; they beat the bees they eat against a rock or other hard surface to dislodge the stinger, a singularly brutal fate for the bee. In general, these birds also speak of a fiery temper, anger either outright or hidden beneath false pleasantry. Clearly, life is not being kind to you; I think, in this scenario, you are very much the bee. :(
But there is hope! Your second is the Lapwing. This is the bird of spring, a card very strongly about new beginnings. There will be false hope, and you may have to rush forward unprepared, tumbling along, but I think by next Ostara, you may finally be getting your feet under you again. I am sorry it's so far in the future!
Yeah, I'd have to agree with that assessment that I'm very much the bee these days. (Although I have to admit to a certain amount of anger hidden beneath pleasantries around these same situations.)
Yay for hope! I think we've definitely experienced the false hope and are tumbling forward unprepared right now for sure. *sniffle* at having to wait until next Ostara... although it could be much longer, for sure.
Thanks so much taking the time and energy on my behalf. *hugs*
Your question resonated powerfully for me when I saw it immediately after replying to opalvixen above, so I jumped the line and pulled your card...and you, too, received the Loon! (Cards were shuffled and everything!) Spooky!
The answer for you is the same as her read; plunge into the depths, the deep, murky waters of the subconscious, of all that is just past the edge of real, and go the distance, keeping those you love close to you, avoiding lead, and your sight, your power, will be restored.
I wish you luck on the journey; it does not shape up to be an easy one.
Do you mean lead, the material, or metaphorical shot as from a weapon?
And yes, my journey has gotten much harder this year. Breaking into the open may be at least as hard, but if I reap what I have sown and it is good, then every erg and ache and tear will have been worth the effort.
