Yes, please pull a card for me! (Send by Acelightening.)
I have an opportunity to do major ritual work this week and would appreciate an insight on what best to focus upon, to help me meet my upcoming challenges.
Stork appears for you. This bird is associated with birth for good reason; they are such dedicated parents they have sacrificed their lives for their children. They build huge nests, sometimes on chimneys to people's dismay; they are strongly representative of home and hearth. They are also silent birds that communicate through body language and bill clapping. Finally, they are well known enemies of snakes.
Hi! I saw your post on "freestuffday" and I always find it fascinating when people design their own card-reading decks. What made you pick birds, for instance? (I mean, obviously, your LJ/Dreamwidth name is all about birds... but why birds?)
For my card, I'd appreciate any insight into a certain relationship.
Birds pretty much presented themselves to me in ways that left me no choice. As a practitioner of magic, I was selecting a working name inspired by my private name, and was led quite directly to this path. Of course, immediately many other things fell into place, and now I wonder that it took me so long to see the link between birds and myself!
Oh, my! It's the Night Raven for you and your relationship. Night Raven may be Raven, Trickster Crow, or Blackbird in hiding. In this case, it tells me it is Raven; the future, the future stands on the bones of the past, active thought, progress, can't keep a secret, bringer of light.
I feel that through examining the past in this relationship, you will see how the future will be built. I also get the feeling that the other party is the one who can't keep a secret.
I lurk in a few places where I've seen your offer boosted and I'd like a card.
I'd like to know what they birds say about my husband and I moving away from dramaland. We live on his father's property and its been one thing or another with him. Tried to save up money to move but expensive stuff breaks (oh my poor Jeepy).
Ah, the cards are on fire at the moment! You got Kingfisher, who advises that, if one is seeking a home, one should dive headlong into it, trusting your instincts. Be warned that you may get injured in the process! Be sensible about what equals prosperity to you; make smart sacrifices. It is possible for you to move in with your parents, perhaps? There is a legend about a wind-god who calmed the winds for his daughter so she could nest in peace.
I had to go google-fu Kingfisher. I've heard of them but never seen one. They are beautiful birds.
As for moving in with my parents, its back to saving up again. We are in Texas and they are in Western PA. I know they'd take us (and the cat-zerg) in in a heartbeat but I would hate to put that strain on them. They already have enough with my middle sister. But maybe it just means to move back up in the area.
I also would like a card drawn. I am a Maine Northern Tradition witch and friend of Strixluna (where I saw a post about you). I had never heard of an auspex... and I find the concept very interesting.
I am trying, still, to recover from events of last fall, fighting against age, summer, balky equipment and at times I feel that even the Norns (Fates) have it in for me. I am market gardener, Hexeri and designer, grandmother, crone and optimist.
Welcome! I was pretty taken aback to be confronted with a long-dead profession myself! But it is what it is. :)
I asked if there was hope for you to recover from the events of last fall, and the Simurgh comes with great love and compassion to remind us of the divine within, to encourage you to spread your seeds and trust in your own wisdom.
