i haven't been reading because I've been busy writing.
if it doesn't make you happy though, there's really no reason to do it. My husband sucks at doing nano (and isn't doing it this year) because he's really bad at deadlines and bad at letting himself write crap...yet he has stuffed published (role-playing game stuff...but it was actual writing for pay) and I don't...yet deadlines and challenges i'm good at and then I don't write at all for the rest of the year, but I love doing nano, i'm weird...
this is where i admit i haven't read it because a. i don't watch numb3rs, and b. i don't want to see constantine, and c. i will be horrifically confused. but. you don't suck. and if it makes you miserable you shouldn't do it.
(can you still write it in, like, 1000 word installments? something non-nano-y.)
Yeah, like I said this is way more niche-y than even Reaper Boy. And... I still want to do it, I'm just trying to figure out how. I had one default setting, "Write in teeny little bursts and post teeny little fic," and then NaNo was this whole other Thing so I thought it was the only way to go for longer fic. Even the thought of doing a WIP made me itch, and kinda still does, but with the lack of time issue killing my momentum, that's the only thing I can think of. *wibble*
I hate being such a flake. I especially hate inflicting my flakiness on the flist but I seem to keep doing it :(
I've been reading and I thought it was really good. I'd like to see you finish it. I haven't been commenting on anyone's stories because I've had my internal critic turned off so I can get my own writing done, and I have an rresistible urge to edit other people's stuff.
But your writing is great, really. I always enjoy it.
I understand about the comments though. I posted a couple of snips from my story, and not a word. Maybe we're all reluctant to critique each other in the midst of such mad writing.
Dude, I haven't friended the journal, I was saving it to read after I was done moving and you'd written everything you were going to. *snuggles* Don't make yourself miserable, but don't give up, either. That's what I've done.
If it's getting to you as bad as a couple years ago, then I gotta agree... it's not worth it. But maybe it'll still get written, in its own time? *hugs* Just don't go getting tied into knots over what's supposed to be fun.
