The Luck of the Irish - complete (maybe)

Hi everyone

Well, I've finished this story. At least for now.

There may be more, I'm not sure. It could be that this is just the first chapter of the continuing adventures of Brian and Justin in 1912 New York. I honestly don't know.

But it's complete for now, at least.

As always, it's for Adults Only and by clicking on the link you are ( Read more... )

Thank you. I have absolutely no idea where it came from. Or why it just demanded to be written ... and with a lot more detail than I'd ever intended.

Glad you enjoyed.

Oh yes this is a series Wren I was gobsmacked when it ended! I was totally in the story lol. Again you have weaved such a strong tale that showcases our boys in such believable scenarios.

It might well be ... I know what Brian's suggestions are for improving the business, how they outwit Craig and even how the manage to avoid being called up when the US enters WWI.

All I have to do is find time to write it LOL. But given that it was only supposed to be a couple of pages to get them this far, it may not be a quick process.

It simply must be written! It would be a travesty to deny the world of this much delight! You will find the time ... it is your destiny! :-)

Thanks, Cindy.

I think if it does get written it will be as a series of connected vignettes, rather than as a complete story. If that makes sense.

But the way it's been nagging me ... I even dreamt about it the other night. *g*

Thanks, Connor. (I'm going to take that as 'smile' in a good way, not rolling on the floor laughing at the appalling attempt at the brogue *g*)

I was doing the dreaded research when I found the reference to the Ulster Covenant (I'd actually thought it came into being a little later). So since I'd already decided that the story was set in 1912, it seemed to good an opportunity to miss to give it at least a glancing reference.

Glad you're enjoying.

I think that canon Brian, in many ways, is very Irish. His deep sense of loyalty, the heavy drinking (sadly) and the "black Irish" moods that come on him, even the 'gift of the gab' - which in canon translates into his work.

So it might be fun to explore that more immediately - hopefully with a little more of the Irish laughter and enjoyment of life that is the other side of the coin than we get to see from him in canon.

I've already got major glimpses into their future in this 'verse - so who knows?
