Well it's the library- it has to be the best room in the house, doesn't it?

Tell me what you think for the window scarf- green velvet? white linen? some colour of soft airy silk? I'm dithering.

Mmm, I'd say no to green velvet - I think a dark color and/or heavy fabric would be overbearing in a small room. The lighter linen or silk, in a light neutral, would be better. To show off the windows, not compete with them, you know?

Nothing else worked... and I did try linen and silk both in light neutrals first. I couldn't get them to drape or to blend or anything.
