Day 2392 New Camera et al.

I rock!! I got my camera today and it took me less than 6 hours to figure out how to go around the software (which I can't load), charge the battery and figure out all the settings to make it do what I want. So here is the first of the pictures with the new camera:

Yay new camera! I would not have the patience to spend six hours learning how to use a camera. Excellent detail on the charm.

Lest you think I am more technologically dense than I am, it did not take me 6 hours to learn to use the camera. I had to have dinner at Mom's before I could even open it, I had to charge the battery and read the manual... and then the rest of the time was figuring out settings for superMacro and how to get Win98 to read pictures off of it since the software for it doesn't work with anything before Win2000. (I'm still feeling proud of myself about that. I didn't have to even call the kids.)

I didn't think you were technologically dense; I thought you were patient! I would have thrown it back in the box and stuffed it in a closet about the time I realized the software was incompatible with my computer. And you should be proud of yourself for figuring it out!

I knew the software would be incompatible when I bought it. I'm used to that since I insist or running an antique OS.
