Okay, so there was this weird west story; yeah, the one I've mentioned. It was originally meant to be M7 fanfic, but it rather became a(some) fat novel(s) in which the M7 occasionally turned up for the first two thirds and then buggered off entirely ( Read more... )

I can provide some of that, but you will probably have to pick it up.
Edit, edit like the wind...

Heehee - flaily arm chaos!

Have just sent it off and now have panic mixing with whiskey and epic lack of sleep roiling in my stomach. *sigh*
Oh well - if he reads even half of it and says anything nice that will be a win =)

You'll be fine.

One thing to bear in mind is that, as Fred Nolan is a writer himself, he knows what editors can do. Even more, he's an editor himself, so he's seen the things that only editors get to see. You'll be judged on your originality and your storytelling, not your grammar or spelling.

The other trick is to concentrate the editing in the first few pages, since by the time he is hooked it'll be far less important.

Good luck! (Not that you'll need it!)

Thank you - and those are both useful points to remember and have cheered my neurons up =)

Would that I could provided any of the above requested but alas I can not as they would not arrive in time with, perhaps, the exception of wild west ghosts. I'll see what I can do...and don't worry too much; like everyone has said- your brilliant; just do what come naturally.

I'll see who is out and about; Colma is not too far from SF and my paternal great grandfather was a friend of Wyatts'...can't promise anything, but I will try.

*excited neurons* that's very cool =)

*astronomically improbable long shot*
There was a Timothy O'Sulliuvan who was a photographer - that's not your great grandfather is it?
