"I have read so many faery tales

Through adversity true love prevails
I wonder why there are not more
Where the Knight lies bleeding on the floor
After he dropped his witchling maid
And kissed another - she felt betrayed
So reclaimed his heart with knife and blade
To replace the heart he stole from her
Now she’s happy
Happy
Ever

You did - but how about you - who should play you?
=)

Gah. No idea. I've been trying to think of something for almost 2 hours at work.
I guess I find it hard because I'm not sure how others percieve me- and I'm not even entirely sure how I percieve myself.

The you I remember: Helena Bonham Carter.
I didn't answer last time because I had no idea how to explain why.
I still don't.

She's quite good at doing slightly-hollow-eyed and a-touch-crazy, and I can look like her if I'm in one of my Mrs Lovett phases... Weirdly My elder sister looks *loads* like her because she has a more square jaw and natural ringlets =)
Who would play you?

Whoever it is would need a fairly hefty dose of Hollywood Homely: I don't have film-star looks. General physical type (short, dark) might suggest Tom Cruise, but he'd really have to work on the accent as well as the Hollywood Homely.
Much easier would be herself: Drew Barrymore.
Now all that's needed is for me to do something interesting enough for my life to be made into a film!

I don't know who would play me in a film. I have a vague fondness for the bird who played Lady Una in Stardust - she looks a bit Sally-like, I think. I think tho, I'd like to look more like Louise Brooks. There are a couple of pics of her where she looks like a bit of me thinks I look like in my head.

I am very bad at holding actors in my head, by the way, so I may see someone later and think 'oooh...that would make a good Raven', but I'm never entirely sure.

My characters - no idea. It's why I make them in Soul Calibur IV. That seems better for that kind of thing.

Rose McGowan?

I remember thinking that at the time, actually...

Kate Magowan, it turns out.

Silly similar names.

As for me & my characters, I've not got a clue...

Louise Brooks is utterly darling.
hmm... have you ever considered a 1930's pageboy bob haircut?
I don't know if it would work... I think so long as it wasn't too extreme or angular it would look rather cool...

Although looking up pics of Rose Mcgowan that doesn't seem a bad match for you...

*laughs*
Tilda Swinton is pegged to play Ginnie in my version of things, although Gina thought she'd play me well too, so maybe I should bow to popular opinion =)
I love you forever for saying Mr Depp could play me. Heehee.

As for who should play you... oh - the girl from Amazing Grace. I don't know her name I'm afraid, but her, definitely. Failing that maybe St Trinian's girl who was also in Bond film...?

People keep telling me David Caruso should play me, but I think that's just 'cos he's ginger. Eric Stolz is the ohter name I've heard mentioned in connection with me, but I'm not sure if that's "Memphis Belle clean cut Eric Stolz" or "Pulp Fiction drug dealer Eric Stolz".

As for you, Helena Bonham Carter is not a baad suggestion....

That's kinda cool! Loved him in LA Confidential as well. If you haven't already, you should check out "The Proposition" for some Wild West-but-in-Australia action written by Nick Cave.

I miss Rik. I played him again at Wessex By Night, and whilst it wasn't quite the same, it was great fun. He had less bastard about him. Could be quite fun to try him out in ZG, but I don't back to the well to often.

Oh, and Winona Ryder has a similar-to-HBC kind of vibe that might work to play you as well. Voice might be a problem though.
