Re dueling scar: You could always tear up and start to tell a story about how you were the victim of some knife crime, or even use my story - You were punched repeatedly by someone wearing a ring.

I think I shall have to make something up. Knife crime is possible, if very dramatic. Was considering claiming it was an accident in a sword fight in a play rehearsal...
I'll tell you if I pike your story =)

Hey Raven

I've mentioned you to Jeanette, who was enthused by the idea, but is away on holiday next week. She's suggested I mention it to Peter (who's the front of house manager) on Tuesday, and he can try and sell it to Mrs A, who'll want to meet you before she'll let you start.

I'll do my best to sell the idea to Peter, and hopefully he can get it past Mrs A.

Shall keep you updated.

Re: duelling scar - don't worry about it. They probably won't ask, if they do come up with something random and they probably will believe you, mostly likely because it would never occur to anyone that anyone would actually hurt themself there. Tis a strange and sheltered little place, I think.

Shall keep fingers crossed.

I like that - possibly I like it even more when left at 'Gardening' said with force and finality as if no other explanation could possibly be needed.

I think I'm leaning towards a swordfight in a play that went wrong as that's interesting, unlikely but believable and not crazy-dramatic like 'i was mugged' or something.

Then again... I bet there are triffids in the garden...
