What the heck is that at 2:12 - 2:17? Looks like some worker cut through the pipe with a circular saw and got the blade stuck, so he just left it there...

I think it's a junction with another pipe. At the moment, our sanitary line runs under the driveway along the lot line and there's some concern that we are connected to the neighbours. We hope to cap the driveway pipe off and dig through the lawn to install the new ABS. But the tree is awfully big and close to the driveway. I'd rather lose the driveway than the tree. We'll have to see what happens.

Insurance *will* cover us...as long as we are willing to pay another $1000 deductible. We aren't, so that's basically that.

They are indeed wankers.

Wow. That's rough. I heard about the house troubles over the weekend and was going to extend my sympathies but you beat me to it. Hadn't heard about the rest of the fun. Hang in there!

And hey if you need any help with the chem or bio questions, don't hesitate to flip me an email. Always happy to help. If time is of the essence, text me to check my email.

Hey,

Thanks for this. I didn't know you were chem and bio-saavy. I will definitely keep this in mind. So far, I've insisted that they pair me up with experienced writers that are solid with content, so I don't have to worry too much about accuracy - and it's checked by 5 or 6 other expects afterwards, but there are occasions when I have to rewrite questions, label diagrams, etc., and it's tricky to do that when you don't know what you're talking about. I elected to work on biology for the writing only to discover the topic was biochemistry and genetics! Joke's on me! I'm done that now, thank goodness. And I haven't heard back, so I think they must have been okay.

Hope all is well with you. Your recent vacay looked awesome. Stingray kisses.

Oh lordy.....shit! Literally. That's horrible. My fingers are crossed that your pipes will hold out 'til spring!

I also hope someone gets to the bottom of the small person's anxiety, or whatever it is. Poor little girl. It must be so hard for you not knowing what's going on.

Oh, so disgusting...my landlord downstairs had the same sewage problem this past year, caused by a beautiful century maple owned by the next-door neighbours. Luckily I live upstairs so didn't have to deal with the sewage...but the damage was terrible! And yeah, nuke those roots. If the tree has survived a hundred years it's probably seen worse...

It sounds like Gminor is very sensitive to all the distruptions and stress. Have you read the books by Elaine Aron about Highly Sensitive People/Children? As someone who is too sensitive to everyone and everything in my environment, I found her really helpful (I only read the Highly Sensitive People book, but I've heard the one about children has good info for coping strategies for HSP kids).
