Pros? Cons?
Usually steady paycheque is at the top of the former.

Like Dave says, steady paycheque is nice, and doesn't necessarily preclude taking some freelance work on the side (obviously the amount would need to be curtailed, but keeping your name out there doesn't hurt). It'd also make tax time less onerous. Besides that, deals on tickets!!!
